.38 Chief Special Engraved by DJ
This .38 Chief Special Stainless, Model 60, was ordered in October 1980 by S&WCA Founding Member, Bill Orr. The revolver was engraved and inlaid by S&W Master Engraver, Domingos Joaquim, and shipped on October 22, 1981. I don't usually buy J-frames, but the ivory/gold big horn sheep inlaid in the side plate is unique and I wanted this revolver for my collection of engraved S&Ws. Also, the nude engraved on the frame in front of the cylinder is DJ's trade mark. I believe this Chief Special is truly "one of a kind". Click on the photo for a better look.

It's a beauty. Would be real tough to shoot that one and get it dirty.

I’m usually not attracted to/interested in, engraved handguns, but that one is nice.

Beautiful engraving, but…. umph, that front sight. Not a fan.
From the “.38” on the side of the barrel back to the grips - big fan.
