Looking for a torsion spring for n frame 8 shot revolver model 327
Tried Internet and Smith & Wesson and everyone is out of stock.

Are you referring to the rebound spring?
Wolff Springs has them.

The torsion spring is the spring in the trigger which keeps spring pressure on the hand so that the hand stays in place under the tension of the torsion spring. It isn’t supposed to be removed, and therefore should not be lost. That said, why then do you need another?

I used a hand torsion spring from an L frame , on an N frame. It should work.

The hand torsion spring is most definitely removable on an mim trigger. On the pre mim, they are held on with a pin.

The triggers and torsion springs are the same for all MIM K, L, and N frames. The hands will be different.

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys.
For some reason "torsion spring" just didn't register with me even though I am familiar with them. (DUH!)

My son found out that if you remove the hand from the trigger on a Mod 19, (after removed from the gun), the little spring can be lost easily, especially in a cluttered shop.

Yeah, me too! In my mind a torsion spring is one that twists along its axis, like the old MOPAR suspension springs. They were rods that twisted. The hand spring in an S&W doesn't act that way. But I guess since it provides a twisting force to the hand, S&W called it a torsion spring. Yet another S&W term to confuse me . . . .
