Default 686-2 UNFLUTED CYLINDER

Does anyone know if the 686-2 with a 6 inch barrel and unfluted cylinder is rare?

Thanks

Not common but not rare.

Thanks. I picked one up yesterday. 1988 vintage from the original owner unfired by him. Came with box and papers. It's mint. He said he believed it was a Lew Horton ordered gun. I'll post pics of it later. I couldn't pass on it. I'm a sucker for big bore revolvers especially in the condition it's in.

Some pics. I took off the factory Hogue Rubbers and installed a very nice set of older S&W presentations. The Hogues are kept in the box. I just can't live with rubber grips. Love the woods.

More of the original box. I'm going to confirm this week if it's a Lew Horton.

It's a 686 "Classic Hunter".
Not a Lew Horton offering.
