24-3s came out in 1983.
Unless those were some Smith leftovers, yours should have come with the Goncalo Alves "speedloader" cut outs on the grips. The footballs would be worth more if you were to sell them.

So "football" cut traget grips would be "correct" on S&Ws made BEFORE the 24-3 came out in 1983???

I have a 6" 24-3 without factory S&W grips and I would like to know what target grips would be "correct".

All of my 24-3's, 3 4" and 1 6.5" came with the football cut out target grips. My two 634's came with the larger speed loader cut out.
