Model 16-4

Very nice! It took me a long time to find a 4” 16-4 but it is one of my all time favorite S&W’s. Yours is beautiful and the stocks look nicer than the combats on mine. A word of warning though. The 32’s can be highly addictive - ask me how I know.

That is a beautiful 32. Mine had a faint turn line when I got it, 6" , a few years back. They are great shooters, and need not be subjected to rapid da shooting to be enjoyed.

Nice piece!
I have the 4" & 8 3/8 both W/box, tools, papers original sight adjustment tools slightest turnline in mint condition. It has taken some time to collect. I'm hoping to come across the 6" someday for the "right" price as I purchased the 2 I have at a price that nobody could pass up! I have seen a few on the usual websites of course outrageous prices. Considering the 6" is what I have seen the most of at shows one will pop up sooner or later.
I have one to shoot and it is hard to put down! You will probably have the same trouble?

Tack driver it is!

When the Model 16-4 was first announced I put in my order for a 6” and Dad ordered a 4” and a 6”. Less than 2 years later they were all sold… heck they were going to be available and I wanted the next shiny thing!

Fast forward a couple of decades and I finally discovered the error of my ways and saw the price to replace mine had about tripled. I decided instead to have my own built in stainless steel and 327 Federal Magnum. Thus was born the Model 616!

That 4” Model 16-4 is a beauty, and I’d probably never have built my 616 if I hadn’t sold mine… hold onto it and enjoy it. Attached find my “before and after” pix of the Model 66 that became the 616. :D
