Any of you guys shoot a Model 43C in .22 LR?

Guy wants to sell his at $460...

Thinking about a practice gun for my 642 .38.

That's a good price. I picked mine up 3 years ago for the same money. a LGS in my AO has a used one for 600. Sold in 30 minutes. Great guns. Trigger is a little heavy but typical for 22LR. Great carry package for low vis with Federal Punch. I have about 1k rounds through mine.

Jump on that! That's what I bought my 43c for....cheap practice in place of my 642-1. And for just plinking fun.

For that price, I'd grab it. They aren't very common and are usually more expensive. If you want to "kick the tires", check the trigger pull, the little Smith .22s 43, 63 have had a rep for either having a nice trigger or heavy/rough trigger rarely in between.

Isn’t that the model that has the worst reputation for misfires and other quality issues that S & W currently makes?

That seems to be the current reputation...............

I have one but I've never shot it in about 10 years. It's still NIB, along with it's slightly bigger brother, Model 351C. Haven't shot it yet either.

Love mine,,, after 2 trips back to the factory, it has been 100% reliable. Carry it every day.
