Obviously Kim is no longer making grips so you see people listing these for $250+ on the auction sites.

I know that most Ahrends I purchased were at a price of $50 to $80 when he was in full production.

Of course they are worth what someone will pay for them but I would consider $150 to be a fair price as the condition looks nice.

Check internet prices on the usual sites but they are going for stupid money now. Figure $150 ish if you want to offer a bargain or $200 and up seems to be current retail. Sure miss Ahrends - shame they had to close.

I just bought a set in Cocobolo from a member here for $200. And I bought an l-frame set from Ahrends retailer Gripseller shortly after Kim went out of business but before new production stock ran out. Paid $200 for those as well. Both worth it to me.

THANKS GUYS. AUCTION SITE HAS THEM FOR $299 AND A BIT LESS. I FEEL THAT'S A BIT HIGH. JP

Like was said above, Kim doesn’t make these anymore.:( So they definitely aren’t getting any cheaper! But , wood type and grain can make a HUGE difference in selling price. I’m not sure what type wood yours are, but it is very plain. I could be wrong, and your wood type could be something special that normally doesn’t have great grain. Good luck.

Kim made me two sets out of “customer supplied wood” - a $10 option at the time. Made from American Wormy Chesnut Wood - Chestnut trees died off in the great chestnut blight of the 1920s. Wood came from an Amish chicken coop built in 1910. A friend sent me scraps to make knife handles with. He had bought the chicken coop and used the wood to make his kitchen cabinets in his remodeled Minnesota farmhouse.
Kim Ahrends said the wood was so dry and brittle he would never work with it again. So one offs. He was right about the wood. It was a pain to make knife scales with. First attempt a small piece broke off and had to be repaired. After that wood was stabilized with super glue during sanding. Im not sure what I would ask for them if I ever decided to sell.

The tactical combat fingergroove you have is my favorite grip. I just bought a nice set from a forum member this week for $210. They appear to be cocobolo and are more nicely figured than yours. I would say your set could easily fetch $125-$150.

As mentioned, wood type and figure will play a role.

If ya don't mind me asking what Auction Sites are you looking at? Have some Bear Hug grips i am trying to price don't see them anywhere.

I only have one set of Ahrends in cocobolo…

The way prices are going for these grips, I think I’ll leave them for the next generation to deal with…

Are prices for Spegels on the same trajectory?

Not meaning to Shanghai this post, but I was going through all my grips that I have taken off of guns that I have bought over the years and a box full that belonged to a late friend of mine, and found these what can you guys tell me about them?

Thank you
Tom

Ahrends called them tactical combat conversion.

They are Square Butt N frame grips, where do you think they would fall value wise? I do not have any use for them, everything I have I keep factory grips on with the exception of two with Bill Davis grips on guns I shoot a lot.

Thank you
Tom
