Finally ,after my knee surgery last week I was able to go out and stop by the shop and pick up my new in box 1999
model 625-7. I was not disappointed. Aside from m.i.m. internals ,which I really have no issue with, she is beautiful.
The man I won the auction from said he purchased it 5 years ago for $750., and looked a long time to get it.
It came with 'Morado'wood grips, as did all these era N frames with round butt and non serrated tangs.
I had to put some Finger combats on it ,,as I like how these feel.
It is truly one of Smith and Wessons Stainless masterpieces , My new G frame ;:
Now here is a question for you all, have you ever seen a partially-fluted cylinder?
I think it has something to do with the -7 designation and the "Change in frame design to eliminate cylinder stop stud"
