BRD - Big REVOLVER Disease, my sickness
I went Wheelgun crazy this week.

Last thursday picked this up
Model 500ES - Emergency Survival Kit
•Smith & Wesson Model 500, 2 3/4" Barrel with Bright Orange Hogue® recoil reducing grip
•Waterproof Storm® Case
•Blast Match™ Firestarter and WetFire tender
•Saber Cut™ Saw with fabric sheath
•Jet Scream™ whistle
•Star Flash™ signal mirror
•Polaris® compass
•Two MPI Mylar Space® Emergency Blankets
•Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops Liner Lock Folding Knife with Black Sheath
•"Bear Attacks of the Century - True Stories of Courage and Survival" book by Larry Mueller and Marguerite Reiss
Model: 500
Caliber: .500
Capacity: 5 Rounds
Barrel Length: 2 3/4"
Front Sight: Red Ramp
Rear Sight: Adjustable
Grip: Rubber
Frame: Extra Large
Finish: Satin Stainless
Overall Length: 9"
Material: Stainless Steel
Weight Empty: 54.8 oz.

Still unfired, S&W 500 Magnum ES Model with all the Survival Kit goodness. Bone stock, no mods; Got 100rds on the way for it.

and then this came along on Monday;

S&W Model 29-10 44 MAGNUM
3" BBL
MagnaPort Customized
Forcing Cone
Quad Trapezoid porting
Target Crown
Numbered Cylinders/Timing
Trigger Job
Wolff Springs
Custom Gunkote Finish OD

The "Bounty Hunter" is a matte finished 3" M29-10 with Pachmayer grips at birth. This one is colored to match a couple Wilson guns he had. Gunkote is a tough baked on enamel, also have an early Chinese preban AK47 in black gunkote, jillion rounds of corrosive through it over the last 9 yrs, finish is solid.

The trigger Magnaport did on this is simply the best revolver DA I have felt in 20+ years of gunwhoring, perfection.

Comparison;

Now you have to learn two-handed simultaneous shooting of both of them at the same time.

The 500 is as much flame thrower as handgun and you have to be careful firing into a hillside lest the Department of Natural Resources dings you for prospecting by digging without a permit . . . .

Bad news: There is no cure;

Good news:
You have discovered the only effective treatment.

Be prepared to modify your dose and frequency of intake.
