RSR 66 guidance

I understand this 3" Magnaported 66-4 is an RSR distributor special order piece...It's listed in the SCSW as configured this way...short of a Jinks letter is there a way to verify it's an RSR? Several forum members have already identified it as one and I understand not all RSR guns have "RSR" in the serial...any guidance appreciated...KW

I do not know the answer to your questions but that is a nice looking 66. Never shot one with the porting but would like to try one some day.
 
I don't know how you would tell without calling the distributor but I have one just like it and it is an impressive little piece of work, especially touched off at twilight.

I took your advice and called...RSR was very helpful...indeed it's an RSR exclusive config (3", factory Magnaport, case hardened smooth combat trigger & semi-target hammer, pinned front sight). Some RSR exclusive guns are serialed with "RSR" in the serial, these were not among them...but only 500 in the run from S&W...thanks for the responses, KW
