I am going to aquire a 4" Model 19-5 357 Magnum soon & have a few questions..
I notice some have pinned front sights others with the blank sight & others with the orange insert.. Diversity?
Also I see the 2 1/2" & 3" snubs being round butt & the 4" & 6" with a square butt..
Also wondered about the changes Dash #s..
I see that the -4 to -5 the pinned barrel eliminated..
Walked into a local pawn shop & there sit a 4" nearly minty 19-5..
I put it on Lay Away being I was nearly broke & just dropped $100 on it so it wouldn't get away
My Only other K Frame is my 4" M547 9mm
I was told elsewere that this gun was made in 1986-1987.. The Serial # is AUL0100XX
Also figured that a HKS #10 speedloader would work for this as I have a few for my Dan Wesson
Thanks!!
Gary/Hk

I just paid $375.00, for an 80% 6" #19-3. You are getting a good deal.

Find a way to pay for it. That is a steal of the first order and if I walked in on that it would whip out the wallet so fast it would make the clerk's head spin.

Yep, they will work. The chamber center circle diameter is the same for all six shot K frames chambered for .38 Special or .357 Magnum.

That's an extremely good price for the gun you describe. I encourage you to be creative in finding a way to buy that 19.

Good Luck,

Jerry

Oh I'll have it within a month..
I'll have a couple of paychecks by then..
Couldn't pass it up for the Money..
Gotta check with these Pawns more often..
I bought my Beretta92FS there for $219, an HK P7M8 for $529, & a Colt King Cobra for $299..
There prices are much better than the Gunshows & they allow you to put stuff on Layaway for 90 days.. Hard To Beat..

BTW this 19-5 has the orange insert front sight & is tight as a drum & has just a few marks on the wood stocks..
It was definately Calling My Name..
Gary Buy Me NOW!!

Wow! Deals like that have ceased to exist down here in B'ham. Even the most humble of 19's start in the $400 range. At the Bessemer show this past weekend, a guy was asking $650 for a model 66. No, it wasn't nib!

You are getting guns at awesome prices. We are having the opposite thing around here where I live. Since the election gun stores and pawn shops can't keep guns in stock and they have raised their prices on everything. You can also forget about ammo around here as the stores are generally out.

I'm hoping this huge surge in sales levels off soon and prices start to go down.

These DEALS I've told about are very few & far between..
I go to every gunshow within 150 miles, almost one or two a weekend, & deals are very hard to find, It just happens that sometimes these Pawn Shops have guns at unreal prices, I would think there useing the Bluebook of gun values & then only giving the person pawning it 50-60% of it's value in the book, what's realy sad is I would have to believe they are making money on these so the must have given far less to the Person Pawning the merchandise..
The probobly only gave $150-$200 for the 19-5..
They have to hold it 90 days & that ties up thier money so they sell them at great prices to free up the money instead of the merchandise just sitting on thier shelves forever..
Also at this same Pawn Shop I bought a Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty for $500..
The Guitar is easily worth $1500+..
I Love Good Pawn Brokers..
