Default model 642-2

First time here. I spend most of my time on the s&w antiques forum. Can anyone steer me to where I can get a hand spring for a model 642-2? Brownells shows it as part #3o, but they do not have it in stock. Where else can I turn? This is a fairly new gun that I got from a 92 year old friend who lost the part when he disassembled the gun some time in the past. Much obliged. wormey

Hand Torsion Spring, New Factory Original Gun Parts | 309400A | Numrich Gun Parts

I'm actually not familiar enough with S&W revolvers to know where this goes and with no direct weblinks provided, I didn't try to find the part on Brownell's.

Otherwise, my link may be the part you need.

E-gunparts is a great resource for Smith and Wesson parts. Brownells is also a fine online shop for Gunparts. Regards.
