Lew Horton S/N LHW00XX Product code 170103 made 1998 it is a 686-4 7 shooter with 6" barrel.

The SCSW#3 list your M686 as a 6" 7 shot with a Profile barrel under product #170103. The book indicates that 7 shot M686-4's were introduced in 1996. No information as to how many 170103's were made.Bob

They started the 686-4 7 shot in 96, but did not make this Lew Horton model until 98. I just thought that there might be someone out there that had knowledge of how many of these were made.

Wish I did. Looked through my stuff and can't find any reference to quantity. I've seen exactly one "in the flesh" over the years, and that was right when it came out back in the late 90's.

The flyer doesn't tell us much....
