629 classic question

I have a 629 classic that I want to carry while I am out on my side by side or hiking. Its a nice gun with good sites on it that i want for protection against bears as I live in grizzly country.

My question is I want to have the gun completely covered and secure. I dont want it to get really dirty on the side by side. I have been looking for a chest mounted holster that would keep the gun secure and out of the elements. Are there options out there for this? I looked at an Eberlestock large accessory pack but that is still too small. Any other suggestions I am open to.

I’ve got one of these that came with a 629-3 5” classic I bought few years back. Mines from back before they brand named em. Damn rugged rig for sure. Could have a local tailor fab up a full flap with Velcro on edges. That’d cover your 629 in a chest config so it’s still quick to get to ifn yeh gotta put a few rounds down range
