Landric - I'll take one of those 3" 681's too!

You should run S&W's design department! Regards 18DAI.

I see they've brought back the 14 again.
I would like the 14 with the underlug barrel.
With or without lock, but lockless preferred.

I do plan on getting a 438, when I have the do-re-me.

Taper barrel Model 58. Intact frame and bar stock lockwork. Make it in 44 Special, 45 Colt, and 44 Mag too.

I'd like to see them build a 329PD with a thicker top strap blast shield for those of us who shoot ours a lot.

Found this old thread while searching for .460 Rowlabd info and thought it deserved to be resurrected.

In a heartbeat I would buy a 5 shot L frame 10mm with 4 inch barrel in stainless hopefully. I would also buy a 5 inch barrel 625 Power Port in .460 Rowland

How about an N frame with 5 inch barrel in .50 GI? While they are at it they could build an N frame Power Port 5 inch barreled 5 shot .500 JRH since the .500 Mag is so unwieldy

What could S&W build for me? A 19-3 4" nickle plated .357 Magnum just like the one I gave to my father. It went missing after he died. It was to have gone to me. I'd really like to be able to find one. I haven't seen one in a long time. So, if it were possible, that is what I'd have S&W make for me. Sincerely. brucev.

Make that two. Always wanted one and gott high hopes when the Schofield was reintroduced.

I'd also like a 3" Model 19 RB.

I've always wished they had made a Centennial version of the K-frame. With the higher grip angle and snag resistance of a Centennial combined with the power fo the 357 Magnum and about a 3" tube, it would have been the best combat carry wheelgun anybody had ever made!

I like Hondo44's M96 custom; however, I would make mine stainless. This has been on my special project bucket list, so much so, I have the new S.S. .44 Special cylinder in the safe, waiting for an L frame transplant.

Actually, the end result would be a 3" L frame Mountain Gun in .44 Special.

After seeing the picture of the fixed sighted 29 I could not pick anything else. I would ask that the fixed sights be modified like they have on their Night Guard series, big wide and bright.

I'd like to have a 16-5 in .327 Magnum with a 6 or 8-3/8" barrel. A 616 in stainless would be just fine too.

How about a K frame in .256 Win Mag (or .22 hornet) made similar to the Model 53. (Anything with a .22 bore would need to have a .22 LR cylinder and selectable firing pin.)

X frames need some more members too. A .357 Maximum, .445 SuperMag, and maybe a .223 would be fun.

Bring back the Model 52 in .38 wadcutter with the parts to convert it to .32 long wadcutter, and while they're at it, build something as accurate as the 52 in .45 ACP. (Wouldn't matter if it's a 1911 style or build it on the 39,59,52 pattern as long as it shoots like a 52.)

A Model 614 would be nice to add to the lineup along with a 641. I bet IDPA revolver shooters would like an L frame 7 shot 9MM with moonclips kinda like the 625PC, or make an 8 shot moonclip 625 PC in 9mm.

Make mine square butt, polished and blued (or stainless) and install some wood grips on all but the high powered X frames. Those really need RB and rubber grips.

An old thread that deserved 100's of replies

I would very much LOVE to have a 3 inch barreled, 7 shot 640 Pro (including the shrouded hammer) in L frame size.

Those wanting a 6" or 4" 327 K krame, should check out the number of conversions of 16-4/5s. Bowen has some nice ones ,and the conv is not very expensive. Also fellow wanting an accurate .45, the P/C 845,and 4506 I shot were both one hole guns at 25yds. I would think the other P/C models in .45 would be the same / or should be.

I would like a FS M&P in 10mm, with a 5" barrel. That would go nicely with my 5" 610.

I would like to see some 9mm revolvers of different variety... Model 65 size with 3" barrel, maybe m&p340 in 9... And DEFINITELY a newer version of the 39-2.

Definitely no lock with the 547 style extractor.

2" 63,
3" 67, 64, 15, 14, and 10. Preferably with a tapered barrel.

Get rid of all the locks on all models.

A topbreak that uses 9mm full moon clips but can also work without the clips.

Hello Bullseye Smith
I hoped for that as well for a Very Long time... I then took the Plung and had Hamilton Bowen Stretch my Model 16-4 cylinder throat's out to The New Hot Federal .327 Magnum and never looked back. This Gun is scary accurate as Bowen match's the cylinder throat's when he convert's them from .32 H&R Magnum to the Federal .327 round. It is more accurate now when shooting the .32 H&R Magnum rounds than it ever was. In my mind S&W will Never Build a Model 16-5 so if you want one have Bowen convert a Model 16-4 for $95.00 is was a No Brainer for me.... Hammerdown

I had a very good friend in the Performance Center one day in the mid-1990s who knowing I liked weird stuff called me and said they had finished a run of 442 revolvers for the U.S. Secret Service who wanted an extra light gun to wear on the ankle for Clinton's morning jogs.

They had one of the un-fluted alloy cylinders left and he told me "go buy a 442 and send it to me, I'll put this cylinder in your gun and it will be identical to the guns we made for the Secret Service". ...smith-wessonforum member GHEN

For me, I would like to have the fixed sight version of the 29 that led off in 45Colt as well as 44mag. I would also like to see a 5in version of the Model 19 in 327 Federal with a second cylinder in 32/20. As long as we are wishing a new factory 45 Colt heavy duty to join my Bowen conversion. Also, a model 27 3 1/2 inch in 44 Special and one in 45Colt. We sure can dream can't we? All my best, Joe.
