19 goodness with a bonus!
Well look what I picked up today!!!
It's a 19-5 from 1982 with box, docs AND tools. Has a very slight amount of blue thinning at the muzzle, but other than that, it 98%.
Here is the coolest part
The original owner was an extremely part time deputy constable in Harris County Texas and the awesome butt plate is still on the gun. I'm fond of it because I was a deputy constable and also Constable in the neighboring county. I think I'm more excited about the butt plate than the gun itself. He was more than fair with me at 5 and a half bills.

That would leave a nice memento on a forehead! But, who would want to argue with a lawman named Billy J. Thompson?

Very cool and the butt plate looks very well done. Some skill and effort went into that.

For giving someone a "Model 19 Shampoo".
As hunters would say, nice non-typical.

Imagine the mark it would leave. Shaped like a badge with a star in the middle.

In this day and age some liberal DA would be taking plaster impressions for evidence.

I say the revolver without the butt plate was a very good buy at that price. The butt plate is just icing on the cake, or maybe better yet, good gravy on the biskits!! Congratulations on getting both, especially at that price!

Wow, you got a good deal on the gun. No idea what a cool deal buttplate like that adds but it's neat. Enjoy

Nice !
