I am looking for a Model 586, SN AEN 2266. It was purchased new from the El Cajon Gun Exchange, San Diego, CA in Jan of 1985. It was subsequently traded in at the same store later that year(long story) I would like to know its were abouts and if purchase might be available. I know this is a strange request, but help me if you can. It was manufactured as a 6 inch barrel, red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight with target stocks.
Regards,
Ralph

Are you sure about the serial number? S&W revolvers in that time frame should start with the letter "A".

Correct you are dg! Serial number is indeed AEN 2266. Hand written sales receipt. Thanks for the correction. Thanks likestoshoot2. I would be interested in your info.

I have no idea where the gun in question is, but I wish you luck in your quest.
