Default What's the going rate for a 657-3?

I've been looking to add a .41 Mag to the S&W pile and came across this 6" in pretty decent shape. A good shooter....not a pristine collectible. The asking price is $700. So what are they going for in your area? Thanks in advance for any input.

I think that may be a bit high for my area. I may be out of touch w/reality(been accused of that before), I think $550-$600 would be realistic here.
Good Luck, Kevin

Default 657

I'll have to go along with the others. I just paid $480 for a M57 in about 95% condition. Feller made me a deal I cudn't pass up. Also threw in 3 boxes of 1X R-P brass for another $5, just to sweeten pot.....

Thanks for the input fellas. Pretty much my thinking as well but I haven't tried to lean on the dealer yet to see just how much he will give.

I just paid $500 for a 24-3. That may be on the high end for one of these, but I didn't know if I would ever find another as this was the first and only one I have ever run across. I would not have paid $700 for it, however.

Talking

Way too high unless it is unfired since leaving the factory and in the original box.

I just took possesion of a 6" 657 with a 2x Scope on it. No box, but it has the original rear sight if I want to change it back.

I found the revolver right here in the Forum Classifieds about three weeks ago. The asking price was $475 shipped.
