681 front site filed down

I found a nice stainless 4" 681 for $325. When I was looking at it I noticed the front site was filed down. Should I still get the gun or pass on it?

Could be that the gun shoots low and the owner tried to bring it up by reducing the front sight height. It would be nice if you could shoot it before you make your decision.

I would buy it for 325 and use it to learn better point shooting.

The 681s do not have a very high sight. I have one and thought it had been filed until I saw others like it. Very nice guns. I would buy another for that price.

I looked at it again and it has three holes that are drilled and tapped in the top strap above the cylinder.
