Suggestions Needed Please?
I am looking for a bedroom gun. I want a .38 (.357 would work, but I will probably load it with .38's) with a three or four inch barrel. I want something that I can easily put Tritium night sights on, and I want a wheelgun. With these things in mind, which Smith's should I be looking at? I have a model 66 no dash, but don't want to muck up the sights on it, and as is, it isn't much for use in the dark. I have a dozen different six inch .357's, but I want something smaller.

Have you thought about using crimson trace grips?
My 4inch 681 with .38+P is my night stand gun. I don't use night sites or CT grips though.

Get a J frame for what you want to do. I have a 60-15, with 3" barrel and adjustable sights. While I hate the fact that it has the dreaded lock on it, it has never malfunctioned yet. Then again, it has been carried far more than shot, though it does get shot. It would be easy to put the sights that you want on one of these.

My bedroom gun is.....
.....a model 15 four inch...an older one that i've had for decades...she's dark, sleek, has pachmayr grips and i've slept with her longer than any of her competitors. I use glaser rounds, with a speed loader on a tiny shelf under the nightstand. All i do is stroke her to sleep and keep the dust out of her hidden places. She waits patiently......

Nite Sights
My bedroom gun has CT grips. My eyesight isn't real great so i"m not sure how good nite sights would work. But I have no problem with the laser.

One of these days I'll break down & get a set of CTC grips for my bedroom revolver but for now use a 3913 with fresh Meprolites..
I like the idea of a 3" L frame 686 with nightsites for a close courters defence weapon with Lasergrips too..
