Default BAD 500 Mag

Well, went to the range this morning and took my Performance Center 500 Mag along.

Not that long ago, I bought a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot just out of curiosity. Bushnell told me that it had been tested on 3.5" 12ga guns. Put it on the PC not my original model 500 as the PC has a built in Picatinny rail on it.

It was fun to shoot light Trail Boss loads double action.

Then....10 rds of medium heavy loads caused the objective lens of the red dot to slide out of position.

500 continues it's well deserved reputation for being very abusive to optics. Don

I used the Burris Fastfire on my 460. Of course, it’s pretty tame compared to your 500. Haven’t shot it much with 400 grainers at maximum load....but, so far-so good! memtb
