Hi.
my son needs a set of scope mounting rings for a 629-1 8 3/8
it is the one that had the factory barrel with the barrel broaching to accommodate the s&w scope mounting system
two rings and two mounting bases.
if anybody has a set or knows where to get them please let me know,

The scope rings for the 29, 629, 586, and 686 models with the broached rings slots were made by Millett! S&W used the blued rings on all guns, SS and blued.

I have a 29-3 and also need a set of these rings, can anyone point me in the right direction to get these rings. I tried Millet, but they don't sell them any longer.

I need rins too, please help

These are the Rings I was referring to!! It's very possible that Millett doesn't produce these anymore so my previous post may not apply as to the Present "Angle-Loc's" that Millett produces fitting correctly!! These were the ones that S&W sent to me back in the Early 90's when I acquired a NIB Model 29 that they failed to include the Rings with!! Sorry if my previous information was incorrect if the current ones don't fit as it was not my intention to mislead you!! Maybe contacting Customer Service at Millett will give you some answers!! Masterpiece, do you want to sell your rings?

I'd love to, but sorry to say I sold the gun some years ago now!! Did you have any luck contacting Millett?? I think that's the best place to start to see if they have any input as to where a Pair might be found!! They were always pretty helpful from past experiences I had with them!!

Also, it probably would be best to keep your eye on some of the Internet Auction Sites like eBay, Gunbroker, Etc. as well!! Reason I mention it is the fact that someone just sold a Box for one of the 629's that came with the Scope Mt. Option a few days ago on eBay!! It came Complete with all the Accessories, Paperwork, Etc. as well as the Factory Millett Rings including the Mounting Instructions!! I realize it's too late now, but just wanted to let you know they "Do" pop up from time to time!! It's a shame you didn't post your inquiry a couple days earlier!! Sorry!!

If I see or hear tell of another Set I'll get in contact with you!!
