Default 686-3 2 1/2 snub.

Thanks to N Frame for a smooth sale, picked it up today

I swapped the wood out for the Hogue rubber, they're a bit more comfy for me (I'm gonna stick the wood on something...sometimes)

That's not a group for accuracy, just blasting, will "get serious" tomorrow.

Excellent to do business with you to Krull!

I'm glad that little fella has a good home. Carry and enjoy it in good health buddy.

I think this type revolver is a good "packing size" gun since it's small enough to not get in the way yet has enough oomph to wack something hard when the need arises.

All of you have to understand 99% of why I carry and want a CCW is for animals since I like to live in the boonies and one just needs a gun in such a place/state (WV is really more rural then anything) try getting stuck on a four lane with no cell service and no houses for a good mile or two-I have!

Now what of my 66? well now......can you say scope? and use with .38's as a small game gun?
And the wood grips that came with the 686 have given me a reason to look into an L Frame .22 or maybe a .32 with a four or so inch barrel!

Oh,yea-the fireball with 158gr Blazer JHP is amusing!

Ok went out and did some shooting for effect, approx 15yds,ammo was some 158gr Blazer JHP,twelve rounds each, and twelve rounds of American Eagle 158gr JSP (for fun,the Blazers are not full power stuff) .
First a look at the range:

And the results:

Farthest left is the Blazers fired single action, middle is Blazers fired double action and right is the American Eagle fired single action.

What can I say? like the Mod 66 the little bugger can shoot!

Looks like you are having a great time giving that 686 a work out! I agree the Blazer stuff is not full power.
If you reload for the 357 there are some very good loads to be had that make the 357 really shine!
