Default J-Frame SQ to RD Butt Conversion

I am buying a new unfired (old stock) M36, with square butt... I'm sure this question has already been discussed, but I can't find it. I like the round butt for CCW better than the square butt. I've read about this conversion, somewhere - can any one tell me who does such conversions, from square to round? Thanks.

Pete

I can't say about who might do that, but there was a thread here showing how easy it is to do your self by using a set of RB grips as a template to scribe around. Then you simply grind down close to the line, etc. The big thing is missing the serial number, since it can not be re-stamped or altered in any way according to the ATF. All of this was covered in great detail in that thread, including links to the wording on the ATF's site. If doing this will get into the serial number, then I wouldn't bother.
