I am new to older used revolvers. I have a thing for Smith's, that is the good part.
I picked up a Victory Lend Lease that had pre 68 Diamond Target Grips on it. I was going to replace them with "correct" grips.
At the SWCA show at the Smith Center I picked up a bunch of grips, both smooth and checkered. None of them have the little metal inserts to hold the screw, a couple have the metal insert on the left grip where the screw goes through but most have nothing.
What do I need to have or get to use the grips? I noticed "escutheon screws" at Brownells and Midway, is that what I need?
I put the target grip on another Victory I have and put the Victory grips on the Lend Lease. I noticed there were two different screw lengths.
Do they still make the metal parts for the screws to hold the grips on?
