I dry fired my m36-1 j frame and the firing pin was broken. It is old model so the pin is attached with the hammer. Do you guys have any idea how to change it? Actually, I will let gunsmith takes care of it but I just want to know how to do it. Thank you.

The hammer must be removed from the Revolver, then the hammer nose rivet has to be removed. The new firing pin and hammer nose rivet are then installed. Simple job as long as you have the parts and are familiar with the disassembly of the gun.

Thanks chief38. I find some posts on how to remove rivet and they are very helpful. :D

Did one the other day and had to wait several weeks for S&W to send rivet. They have been out for a while. You can use the old rivet if you are carful taking it out.

Thanks for the information:D but I think the old one may be the best choice for me because it's impossible for myself to import gun's part or equipment. In Thailand, person who wants to import anything relate to gun has to have the license from the government :( . And, if the old one is not useable, Thai gunsmith can adapt something to be the rivet for my gun:D.
