Default Rebound slide trigger stop ?'s

I fitted a rebound slide trigger stop to my 10-14 recently, it seems to work fine, just wanted to double check....

On Single Action, after the break and the hammer drops, there is just a little "slop", not even what I would call slop but the trigger moves maybe 1 or 2mm after the break.

In Double Action, as soon as the hammer drops in slow DA the trigger stops, no slop at all.

Everything works fine, no hanging up on SA cocking at all.

Did I get lucky and actually do it right? I plan to leave it as is, I can deal with a hint of slop in SA as long as the DA feels crisp. I am not about to take the sideplate off and fit another trigger stop to correct a hint of slop, just wanted to make sure it's "normal".

It sure makes a difference in the feel of the trigger, especially in DA. Takes away that "spongy" feel after the hammer drops that some of my S&W's have in DA shooting.

As long as the trigger locks fully back in SA mode and the trigger barely moves rearward after being pulled and the hammer falls, you got it right. The stop is mainly for single action target shooting. Sounds like you got it right, but if this is a carry weapon, be absolutely positive that the trigger functions 100% of the time without malfunctioning.

Thanks for the info, looks like by blind luck I got the length right for the trigger stop!

This 10-14 is purely a range gun, I have a few older 10's that I keep bone stock so I figured I would play around with this one and see how tight I can get it to shoot
