Realistic trigger pull for a 640 pro?
Couple questions on my new snub-
I have a new 640 pro that seems like the trigger is especially heavy. My trigger pull gauge is made for rifles and only goes up to 8lbs and it doesnt even budge the trigger.
I also have a 60 that was done over by Cylinder&Slide and it feels several pounds lighter. (My trigger gauge will pull the DA at max, so its probably just a hair over 8lbs)
What is a realistic pull weight for a DAO revolver like the 640, while still 100% reliable ignition?

I have always read that DA trigger pull on a combat revolver should be from 10-14lbs with SA pull being 4-5.
That is the range where all revolvers are. The pull may be heavy but it's smooth.

100% reliable with any ammunition (an important distinction)?
It's probably a little over 12lbs, stock, perhaps 13lbs. Maintaining reliable ignition with any ammunition, I think you could reasonably see 10lbs pull, perhaps 9lbs. Anything less becomes very tricky unless you're willing to tune the gun to specific ammunition.

My 640 Pro is somewhere between 11-13lbs. But smooth with a clean break on the sear.

+1 on '10+ lbs'. I've tried lightening J frame springs a couple times but reliability always suffers, so I end up putting the stock springs back.
