Default rebound slide

Hi everyone
I' don't understand how it works, the rebound slide, like a second safety. I've a "trigger job" Jerry Miculek DVD, but the audio is with background noise ( maybe is damage), and Jerry speaks to much difficult, for my American language preparation.......

Any help would be appeciated
Thanks
Alberto

I'm not sure of your question but there's a "bump" on the rebound slide and one on the hammer that moves the hammer back when the trigger moves all the way forward. There is also a redundant hammer block that sits on the post on the side of the rebound slide that moves up between the hammer and frame as the trigger moves all the way forward and the hammer moves back.

The rebound spring and seats on the rebound slide (and hammer) are a S&W revolver's primary safety. The hammer block safety is secondary (but also deactivated by rebound slide).
