Default 19-4 Endshake

Just picked up a 19-4 that showed a touch of endshake on my inspection. But the pistol was a very good price. Got it home, and it shows .002 endshake as measured according the criteria in the FAQ's. Gap is .004. Would you fix, or just monitor for a while. The FAQ says less than .002, and it was a tight .002.

Oh, no plans to shoot much, if any, .357 through the gun. Mostly going to be a .38 shooter.

Thanks,

I'd leave it alone unless you can get a .001" shim somewhere. Shimming it with the standard .002" shim that's available will leave you with a pretty darn tight cylinder gap.

Reckon it will take another 20 years to get to a "loose".002?

Shoot it and enjoy it. If the gun starts misbehaving then fix it at that time.
