Default Sigma 9 Trigger Pull reduction question

So I reduced trigger pull on my sigma by removing the outer of the two springs in the trigger assembly. Has anyone else done this? I much prefer the performance, but wonder if I will run into long term timing or maintenance issues by having done this. I saved the spring for reassembly later, but just curious

That's a common (and legal) Sigma mod for IDPA. The purpose of the 2nd spring is to insure sear reset when shooting hot defense loads.
You'll likely see no effect at all with normal range loads (PF 125).

rock on thanks man. i was under the impression that the second spring was to increase trigger pull to around 8 pounds with no effect on the action. i'll do some more looking into it. as it is i'm in the market for a set of sd 9 and 40 and wonder if these could require the same modification to have the same action

I have no problem with my trigger pull.I shoot very well with the gun and would never think of changing something that the factory did.But thats just my opinion.
