Default Sideplate Screws

Are the screws for all K frame revolvers interchangable or are they fitted to a specific revolver? I have several of these and would like to put the best undamaged screws in the best revolver. Some are model 19 some are model 14 and some are model 18. I have a pre model 18 that is almost perfect except for one screw. Can I change them out?

Three screw guns use two round head and one flat head screw.
The front screw that retains the yoke must have its nose fitted so as to not sieze the yoke, inhibiting opening the cylinder. A simple job.
Guns made after (date?) substituted a special (larger) yoke retaining screw.

Thanks, I'll check the out this weekend and see if I can swap them. If so I will have a 4 screw pre 18 in almost perfect condition. By the way...it is the yoke screw that is slightly damaged.

When did they go to the yoke screw with the spring loaded tip?

The flat head always goes in back under the grip. The front one is fitted to the yoke and must be returned to that location. That is why you MUST lay the screws out when disassembling in order to return them to the correct location.
