Yep, removing and then reinstalling the little mousetrap spring in the MIM hammers is a bit more difficult than installing the cylinder stop spring.
I use one of my thin cup-end pin punches to carefully adjust and position the spring into its proper position under the hammer sear. Slowly. Carefully. Sneaking up on it.
Eye protection is a good idea ... and maybe doing the work inside a large clear plastic bag, or with a shop towel draped around as much of the gun as is possible (for you to still see what you;re doing
) may be handy, too.
Kind of like how the small and lightweight lever springs in the 3rd gen guns (underneath the levers on each side of the hammer) have been called Jesus springs (in my first armorer class, at any rate) .... as the name, followed by obvious exclamation marks, is often invoked when they levitate and go AWAY ...
