Has anyone had any recent experience with Robar, specifically their NP3 finish? I am considering sending them my mid-eighties vintage M-37 for that treatment. They reworked the frame of my Glock 19 some years ago and did a great job but that didn't involve any metal refinishing. Thanks.

I have a model 15-3 that has been refinished w/NP 3. It is a very good finish. No flaking or peeling after several years and some average usage of the revolver. It is a slick feeling finish and helps quite a bit with cleanup after shooting. The cylinder face doesn't clean up quite as well as othe parts of the gun but it still makes cleaning less of a chore. The finish is a silver color but not as light as a hard chrome and not as shiny as a nickel finish. It is very protective of the surface it is applied to. Not certain now what the price is for a gun to be redone with it but c. $300 is probably close.

Had my Shield NP3'd....not cheap or super fast but they do great work that allegedly holds up over the long haul. I like the stainless look it gave my Shield and it cleans up very easily.

A great product !!! I am fortunate to live in the area so I dont have to worry about the shipping. I have had NUMEROUS pistols done with the NP3 , ROGUARD(black) and a combination of both. IMO a great product/process.
