Ok.... I think we got it right this time. (had to resize).
Been tinkering with a 14-6 the last couple weeks. Was watching a set of old Herrett grips on the auction, and they went for a lot more than I was going to pay. We've made many shotgun and rifle stocks, but have never tried grips. These are the first, and a learning experience on how to go about inletting them.... (yeah,.. there's epoxy in them, but it doesn't show on the outside)

The round knob butt was a impulse thing.... maybe a mistake, but the figure in the grain was asking for it. Here they are at 180 grit and the first coats of sealer.... Love it or hate it, they sure feel good in the hand.

I can recut worn checkering and spray on a new finish to make grips look better but what you do takes a skilled craftsman. Very nice!!!!
Congrats;

Nice looking work but the pictures are way too small to really tell. About double that size would show much better.

Nice grips!
I don't think that I have ever seen a set quite like these before. They look like they would fit the hand nicely. Congratulations on a great first try. JA
