Question Replacing model 41 rear sight

I am trying to replace the entire rear sight on my 1970 model 41. I am having difficulty lining the pivot pin up with the rear sight pivot clip. Is there a secret? Is there a certain way the sight needs to go back together? I tried to bend the clip but of course broke it so I ordered more from Numrich Arms.

I am also needing some rear sight plungers but can't find any. Anyone know where I can get them?

It can be a little tricky, but use a slave pin (slightly smaller diameter) and then install regular pin right to left. Have clips but no plungers.

The windage screw has a small plunger and spring in it and that is what I am missing. The sight base itself does not have this plunger. I used the wrong term.

Understand your problem, just don't have those parts.

Call S&W, they are available and very inexpensive. Any time you change a blade it is very easy to lose a ear sight detente pin and plunger, While you are ordering one, best get two. Then, whenever removing the blade and you have to screw the windage all the way out, do it inside a large clear plastic bag.
