No longer concerned with the slightly loose lockup, as my .32-20 has developed a satisfying propensity to put bullet holes very close together with my handloads. However, I have noticed that the fouling on the cylinder face will build up around one chamber enough after maybe 25-30 shots to cause difficulty in indexing. You can tell where it scrapes off, too. Thoughts?
Most likely the gun has quite a bit of end-shake. Fix that problem and the cylinder will be back far enough that it won't contact the barrel breech. Check the end-shake FAQs.
It may fix the carry-up issue too!
"..... or don't use that cylinder." Good trick since revolvers only have ONE cylinder. You need to brush-up on your nomenclature!
