I have a locking bolt pin on S&W 19-6 that is very slighty loose.
Can be pushed out fairly easy. Actually it just came out and I lost the spring at the shooting range. Found the bolt and pin at least!

I have new springs coming and would like ideas on how to install the current spring and keep it from coming loose again.

I have heard of loctite ( blue ) and bending the pin just a bit..
but if bent how will it line up with the hole on the other side ???
Any additional ideas or suggestions will be most helpful.
Thanks, Texan

The standard fix at the factory was to lay the pin down on the peening block and slightly peen one end of the pin. Pin is then re-installed with the unaltered end first. When the pin is fully installed, the oversized/peened end of the pin holds it in place. Does't take much of an alteration to hold the pin in place......no Loctite required.

Thanks armorer951 !
Got the correct spring today, bent the pin and the 19 is back in service. Did make a tiny scratch on the bluing but we will chalk that up to a battle scar :) . I sure hope that pin stays put this time. I will have to keep an eye on it for a while.
Have a great weekend,
Texan
