Smile NEW 9MM PRO CORE

Hi Guys, I just purchased my first S&W handgun I put a Burris iii Fastfire on it.
I've had it for about 3 wks. and I have taken it apart before
Now I can't , and I have tried and tried step by step by the manual to see if I was doing it wrong . Any suggestions on what might be wrong . I don't want to send it in . Can I take a pin out
to start to tear it down cause I'm going to put a trigger kit in and change the ram . thanks for your help
