Default Need a sear spring

I'm in need of a sear spring, that teeny coil spring behind the sear in a M&P 1905 4th, vintage about 1930's. It's a model where the "hand" is kept in place by a coil spring & lever bar, it that helps identify it. It is for a friend, and the spring is so weak it won't reliably move the sear back out to catch the trigger for a 2nd shot. Works great in single action and for a first shot double action. It was a nice re-blue, and they did the trigger & hammer, and my friend had the trigger and hammer stripped and case hardened.

So any idea where I can get one? It is teeny, and I'm not sure how long this same part was used in the K Frame. (Could be still used for all I know).

Thanks for any info. I'm traveling and haven't had the time to search.

I would try Jack First Gun Parts in Rapid City SD. They will ask you the old original S&W part number so make sure you have that when you call. If you do not have an old schematic you should go on line and find one. They do not want to be responsible for sending out the incorrect part and usually will ask you what part # you want.

You could also try Numrich Gun Parts in W. Hurley NY

I have the same gun but unfortunately I do NOT have the schematic or else I would have looked it up for ya!

Anyone know if the K Frame and N Frame are the same part?

H. Richard, the K spring is 07020 and the N spring is 21577 so they are not the same.
