Default Scope mounts for 686&929

I have seen several of you much more in the know with scopes mounted on 686's and 929's my 2 favorite modern wheel guns. I am a bit concerned about getting the right mount especially if I fire 357's from the 686. Any suggestions on mounts or even reasonably priced (under 200)scopes?

This is my first attempt at a thread. I appreciate the opportunity.

Do you want a scope or red dot sight? If you go with a scope I would recommend a Leupold M8 2X and a Leupold mount. Both can be found quite reasonable on eBay. I just bought a mount and fing set as new for $20. The scopes usually go for $160 - $180. If you're interested in a red dot sight I would recommend a Burris Fastfire lll on an Allchin mount. The mount is available direct from Allchin or from Brownells. One again you can save some $ on the Fastfire buy shopping the web. A very inexpensive way to go is a Weaver mount (usually around $12) and a used Tasco Propoint from the web for around $50. I have all three set ups and like them all. Of the three my favorite is the Fastfire combo.
