Default Polishing MIM Hammer and Trigger

I have a 64-5 that I want to polish with Mothers Mag Polish. I've done it to other revolvers. But this one has a darker hammer and trigger, I'm assuming MIM. Still has firing pin on hammer. I think a high polish on the rest of the gun would make the darker trigger and hammer stand out even more. Would polishing them at least lighten them a bit?
