Just got m&p 9 2.0 and to my dismay unless I wanted to wait, had to accept one with damn thumb safety. I know that apexs ram trigger upgrade among others that Dont work with any of the safety's.so my question is how easy is it to remove 2.0 s ambi thumb safety, and once removed what else is needed to use apex upgrades?

I was wondering the same thing, I had the same issue when buying none available with out safety.

All you have to do is remove the sear housing pin that is at the rear of the frame. You will probably have to gently pry up on the sear housing a little, you don't have to remove it. The safety will just lift out. If you contact S&W they can provide you with plastic filler plugs for the holes for the safety. If you google safety removal you should be able to find a video that will illustrate the procedure.

I ended up buying a M&P 9 2.0 that had the safety. The dealer's photo was a stock photo and it was without the safety. The price was too good to pass up so I made the 1 hour drive to pick up the pistol. I wasn't too happy when I found it had a safety. He explained how to remove it and told me to call S&W for the plugs. S&W sent out the plugs last week so they should be here is a day or two.

I apologize for the necroposting, but how did this work out for everybody? I have an enforcer that I got a really good deal on, but it came with the thumb safety.

I'm thinking of doing this conversion, but I'm not totally sure I want to.

I'm a bit surprised that S&W will send the little plugs directly to end users and not require a trip to a gunsmith or the factory for the conversion.

There's at least one YouTube video on how to do this on an M&P, not specifically the Enforcer and it doesn't look overly difficut.
