19-2 parts
Recently picked up a nice 19-2 2.5". Previous owner buggered up side plate screw (the one holding in the cylinder) plus need standard S&W grips, it came with Pachmayrs. Anyone know where I could get these parts?

Brownells, Midway, Numrich. Screws no big deal except shipping is more than the part. Best to buy other things while your at it.
Grips can be found on eBay. Go watch a few and see if you can snag a good deal.

Is your screw a fitted standard screw or one with the spring loaded plunger? If the first, look down a few threads to "Hand Ejector Crane........"and check out the last post. Gives some advice in re sideplate screws. If the second, various site have them.
Sometimes filing or peening and cold blue work well enough on screw heads.

Gentlemen:
Thanks for the suggestions, Bigggbbruce Numrich has the part $3.50 but you're right probably would cost $10.00 to get it. Have you guys heard there's currently a bill going through the California legislature where we will no longer be able to get gun parts through the internet (same as current ammo regulations)! Time to get out of this nut bound State. Sorry for the rant

The thing about CA gun parts is true. However, I don't know exactly what parts they are talking about or even if the proposal will pass. Never the less I am going to stock up on things like extractors and springs. The proposal as currently written would not BAN them, just "control" them. (HaHaHa). They would be dealt with as though they were a firearm with necessary paperwork and, presumably, fees. The idea is still evolving.
