I dont have my Kunhsnbook book Händy.
Trying to Fit A new DA sear on a new .500 hammer..
Can a Member give me the clearance on the
DA clearance measurement? I seam to Remember . 035 DA, clearance..
Any info appreciated..

Well, I've never fit one, but pg 49-50 in the Kuhnhausen S&W manual show sear bottom clearance to top of trigger with "correct sear let-out around .010 to .012". S&W instructions allow .010 to .020.
Sear functions best with just the right amount or let-out and clearance. Front clearance is usually best around .010 and back clearance around .012 to .013".
If a sear has been let out too much or cut too short, it is ruined."

Thank you for that Information. I found my 5th ed KHSEN Manual, so I' ll study thru the info on the sears before atempthing work.
I have additional spàre hammers and sears so I may swap a use one in to try first. It may need additional fitting or clearancing, but I have the time and àm in no hurry. Live and learn..I can always Fàll back on the
orig .375 Hàmmer set up til I get it richt.
Any added experiences from the rest my fellow Members, please Chime in !!

sear/trigger interface

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I'm not aware of any "arbitrary" clearance figure with respect to fitting of the sear/trigger interface. As far as I know, based on the instruction provided at the factory and info in the armorer's manual, the sear has always been a "hand fit" part with respect to let out, length and contact angle, with the alterations to the sear itself being carefully made with the barrette file.

Since every single revolver frame, and every part in the fame have small dimensional differences and tolerances, final fitting of the sear for proper function is done by hand.

As always, when doing work inside the frame, be sure to remember to use caution when cycling the action with the sideplate off. To avoid possible frame damage, this should only be done after the mainspring tension has been relieved, or the mainspring removed. (j-frame)
