Hello All,

I'm pretty new to revolvers, just bought my first about a year ago (617-6 10 shot). I've recently noticed that during SA fire, one of the chambers consistently fails to carry up, unless the hammer is cocked quickly. During DA, everything runs great.

Since this occurs to the same chamber, could it be the result of a poorly formed ratchet? I imagine this is best left to a gunsmith to fix.

Thanks for any suggestions,
CDM

Yes, mis-shaped ratchet tooth. A gunsmith would likely peen it back to fit the hand.
