Default S&W Gunsmith San Diego Area?

S&W Gunsmith San Diego Area?

I recently had the red insert on my model 19 front sight fallout and I can't find it.

It was a factory red insert on the gun. No metal work needs to be done. The factory front sight notch is already there. All I need is a gunsmith to put another red insert in.

Thank you in advance for any info.

Carve yourself out a new insert from a toothbrush and super glue it in the slot.

no the plastic done that way , will loosen and fall out and not a good match as to color, use a 5 minute epoxy, mix in a bit of Dayglo orange paint or some other red or orange resin pour it in the dovetail after you build a "dam" ( block the sides of the the dovetail) let it harden over night and polish it down the next day,,,,,,,Used to be some stuff on the market called "Lees Red Ramp" and it worked exactly to match the S&W insert.....look on line , we were told somewhere on utube or some such place it is shown, sorry I do not do "socialist media" so no clue where its may be at.......if you were here I'd do it for you, still have some of the orange resin ( powder)

If you are capable, Brownell's sells a DIY insert replacement kit.
