There is a solution I came up with, not perfect, but it works. I took an angle grinder and cut off the raised portion on the right side of the safety. Then threaded and tapped the hole and screwed a stainless screw in it with threadlocker. Let it dry, then cut the screw flush with the safety. Then bead blasted the safety to match the slide. You can see the screw location slightly, but not too bad.
