That’s the original price tag, as far as I know. Although maybe it got resold somewhere along the line and someone put that tag on it.

Got a lead on an unfired 1976 M29-2 the other day. Bright nickel, 8-3/8”, presentation box with all papers and tools, even has the original cardboard box it came in. Any idea of a value on something like this? SN# N468xxx

I shoot mine fairly often, it makes my .44 magnums feel like a 9mm...

I’d have to disagree with the “fillings” statement. I regularly take my 4 model 29’s to the range and run about 100 rounds through them with no ill effects.

I recently picked up the new model Ruger 556 “MPR - Multi Purpose Rifle”. Shoots great.
