I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

I personally have not left any debt for anyone. It was the politicians that did it, many of which I never voted for. I lived in a lower middle class family, and worked full time while attending the University. No debt when I graduated, and I followed a curriculum that had value in the real...

I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

I guess I never left. I don't remember the thread you referenced, so I guess I didn't feel too bad.

I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

Our backgrounds are similar, except for one thing. I have never tried to make amends.

I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

"boomer". It seems that all the youngins are denigrating the people that are now Fathers, Mothers, Grandmothers and Grandfathers. Every day my news feed has an article pointing out all the old fashioned things they do, or how what they say embarrasses younger people, or why they won't embrace...

My experience & opinion as to costs of reloading now days.

I could not have said it better. My only disagreement is re. the 9 cent savings for 9 mm. I would STILL reload for those calibers simply because I enjoy the hobby. Now if it cost MORE, then I would have to re-think it. BTW, I have not purchased factory centerfire ammo in 40 years. I make it...

    I Miss My Tree

Sentiment...yeah. When I was a kid we had a peach tree in the backyard. One Sunday Great Grandma stepped backwards and the tree snapped. Dad tried and tried to repair it with grafts and steel rods, and it survived...sort of. A year later Grandma died and Dad gave up.

    I Miss My Tree

We bought our campsite in 1986. A second property directly across the road was purchased a few years later. The base camp has the family RV and is surrounded by mature white pines. Some are 4' diameter at the base. My son and buddy have their own RVs across the road. The first disaster came...

I HAVE FINALLY RAISED THE SURRENDER FLAG IN RELOADING 45ACP

Before I retired I traveled a lot and thus had little time to reload. My regimen was to save all the cases and then have a marathon reloading session around Christmastime, when it was snowing and I didn't have a lot of other pressing chores. I load 26 different calibers and maintain a box or 2...

I HAVE FINALLY RAISED THE SURRENDER FLAG IN RELOADING 45ACP

Other than factory rimfire ammo, 100% of my ammo is reloaded. I chose to stockpile loaded ammo and components based on what I guessed to be a lifetime supply. Why? Because with the way things are going politically, I may not get another chance. Is it too much, or not enough? I dunno. What...

    Driving through a non-reciprocal state?

I don't know the law, so I won't offer legal advice. I can only say what I personally would do. I am a sportsman and gun collector. My collection is very important to me, plus my right to own guns. I have had a Carry Permit in NY for 54 years. If I were to lose that I would be devastated...

    No (Safe) Guns

I have shot every gun I own. I won't own a gun just to have it in my collection, but afraid to shoot it. I DO have a few collectables that were NIB, but those are the ones I shoot the **** out of. That said, I try to rotate them. Years ago I put a spreadsheet together that shows date(s)...

I HAVE FINALLY RAISED THE SURRENDER FLAG IN RELOADING 45ACP

I have no personal knowledge, but I read somewhere that tests WERE made and the difference was not significant. From my own personal use (and I don't have a chronograph), but I HAVE shot boxes of both and I don't see a difference.

    Stocking up on Ammo.

I'm sure I'll be corrected on this, but it was my understanding that the NY State Police was doing the NICS. In other words, THEY were typing the info into the Federal NICS system. (yeah, yeah, what a stupid way to handle it, but it is what it is - double the work) I decided to stock up...

    A little more humor

Since I like full figured gals, I suspect she might be a lot of fun. (but not in MY boat)

    Stocking up on Ammo.

My casting has only been since 1975. I started massively collecting WWs right after the change to zinc began. I DID get some contamination, and as you suggested, fluxing and skimming was needed. I assumed I got it all, and thus had no casting problems afterwards. Nevertheless, I discarded...

That has to be AI. Even that fat a person would not swamp that big a boat. (ask me how I know...)

Triple Lock Revolvers Against Creditcard Debt

If selling the guns will pay off the entire debt, then no question what to do. The BIG question here, though, is how did the debt get that high in the first place? Furthermore, if it IS paid off, will it happen again? My ONLY debt EVER, was a mortgage, and I paid the 30 year note off in 11...
